About

I am a husband and father to six children.  Our life is about living it differently.  There is more to life than this world would try to tell us.  I want to live my life in a way that it leaves an indelible mark on both my family and the world, something that changes the course of history.  By no means am I perfect, daily a perfect God is changing me to become something more than I ever imagined.  In really getting this, it has helped me to understand I have a very clear purpose, I’m not just existing.

I was not raised in an ideal setting (absent father, physical & sexual abuse, rejection) and much of my life has been a futile attempt to live on the edge, seeing how much I could get away with.  My past will not dictate my future; I am more than my past and more than my mistakes.  My story is worth telling and it has shaped the man I am today.

I have been called to many things – husband, father, and friend are just a few.  I have also been called to lead and lead as an example so that other men will see what is possible.  I make mistakes daily, yet I each day I get back up and seek God’s wisdom and guidance to walk me through another day.

I’m using writing, photography and life experiences to tell my story.  I’m using the gifts I have been given to impact this world and the lives of others.  The things I am most passionate about in life are my family, fatherhood, leadership and giving back.  In all of those the one “true north” is Jesus and allowing him to impact every one of these.

  5. Chris, I don’t know you at all, but was blessed by what you wrote and know that God will use you. May we all have that same desire – to be in the place where He can make us more like Himself and use us to the fullest.
God bless you and your family.
